It’s understandable why so
It’s understandable why so many want to quit without the use of nicotine replacement drugs. Reading the list of side effects, including nausea, mood changes and heart palpitations might make you want to light up instead.
Several natural methods, including behavior modification and smoking cessation, have been around for decades. Others, like acupuncture and herbal treatments, have been around much longer, but are just making a re-emergence into the mainstream. It’s important to note that herbs, although “natural” are not always safe. They have side effects just like drugs and using them can have serious health implications. Never use these without consult of your naturopathic doctor or herbalist.
The best “natural” way to quit is to develop a plan with your doctor that addresses the physical, mental, emotional and social reasons you smoke. Attacking the problem from all sides gives you the best chance of getting rid of the habit for good.
