Good question. Most of us
Good question. Most of us smokers and ex-smokers wish we never started. I am still suffering from asthma and teeth problems as a result of starting to smoke, even 17 years after I quit. I am by far healthier now than when I smoked and I know if I had continued to smoke I’d probably be very sick by now.
The act of starting to smoke is, I think, mostly a social one. Your friends try it and you don’t want to feel left out. We then continue to smoke because the drug is so addictive.
