After You Quit
I've been smoking since I was 16.. 27 now and am wanting to quit yet again. I've tried the patch and failed.. Went on Chantix and had horrible side effects. Wondering what are some other options for me. Anyone with luck on Zyban?

Congratulations on wanting to
Congratulations on wanting to quit! That is the most important first step. Do not be discouraged if this is your second or one hundred and second time quitting, you have the right mindset.
One of the best ways to quit is to combine your efforts. Talk to your doctor, one that will help you develop a multi-faceted plan of attack. Medications usually do not work by themselves, and like you mentioned, they have side effects. You need to identify the social, emotional and physical reasons you smoke and develop a plan of attack for each reason. Don’t discount smoking cessation programs as an alternative, or in addition to a stop smoking drug. Remember, you have everything you need to quit, the desire to do so!
