I quit smoking over 11 years ago and right now I'm expereinceing major stress and thinking about starting again, what can I do to not start?

Do anything else but smoke.

Do anything else but smoke. Start an exercise program, a new hobby or take a vacation. You could also talk to your local pastor or counselor, or join a support group. Whatever you try, find something that can be your “go to” source of strength and encouragement. Choose a reliable friend to be your accountability partner and let them know about your struggles. Small group discussions are great for bouncing ideas around, and they also give you a built in circle of accountability. Whatever you decide to do talk to your doctor about it, he or she knows your health history and has insights into your personality type, which can be helpful in knowing where to start.
