Ahhhh, yes. What a great
Ahhhh, yes. What a great question. How does something that is so addictive and so dangerous remain legal? I understand your anger but even though the debate continues and will continue I feel that we are so far away from marijuana being legal in this country do to a moral force that imposes its moral values on the masses. BTW, if you are interested, there is a great article in Newsweek this week about the benefits of legalization.

Ciggaretts are legal because
Ciggaretts are legal because the government can make money on taxes. the numbers "mean" everything to them. the numbers not how many die but how many packs said smoker has bought in a life time. so why isnt weed legal? because again the government is making money keeping it illegal. to legalize marijuanna you have to legalize the growing of the hemp plant, which cost less to produce then lets say cotton. by legalizing hemp you have just found a cheeper way to produce clothing, rope, etc. and just put a new product abled to be taxed, i.e. WEED. however the wealthy cotton owner, or the supporter of a said candidate, begins to lose money and cant support said candidate, costing him/her the election. so in turn for the wealthy cotton owners support said candidate keeps marijuanna illegal. the government spends over 1 billion dollars every year in campaigns keeping something that has been proven physically and mentally unaddictive illegal.
