After You Quit
Quit Smoking Exercise
To help you in your journey towards quitting, you need “healthy” activities which can divert your attention and keep you busy so that you will be unable to succumb to the calls of the smoking pit.
Exercising is one of the best diversionary activities you can engage in. It brings along distraction and better yet improves your overall health. Exercise doesn’t just mean pumping iron. You can have a variety of choices such as walking, running, jogging, dancing and working out in the gym.
It is very important to set time to exercise. For exercise to be effective, it must be done regularly and correctly. Select an exercise regimen which is stimulating and not too strenuous. If you have been a long term smoker, the body still needs time to adjust to the higher oxygen demand of the body. Your lungs and heart have been bombarded so long with noxious chemicals and you should give them time to get rid of these toxins and heal.
