Ignoring your mind can help you quit smoking

The first thing you must remember is that your craving is controlled by your mind.

Your need for something surpasses your instinct of self-preservation. It is a fact that smoking increases your risks to having cancer and other notorious disease conditions. It is also a fact that your secondhand smoke can be inhaled by the persons around you especially your family and friends and they can be afflicted with the same diseases you might suffer if you continue to smoke. But despite of this, you continue to smoke. You have become a slave to nicotine.

Even if you say that you want to stop now, the craving will not stop if you continue to listen to your mind. You have to ignore every illogical command your mind is commanding you to do. You must understand that your mind is clouding your rationality. And the only way out is to convince yourself not to listen to your mind.
