Ways to Triumph over Smoking Withdrawal Symptoms
Quitting smoking is not a bag of roses. Your sincerity towards achieving a smoke-free lifestyle is constantly challenged.
Just like any other addiction, quitting smoking will produce withdrawal symptoms which need to be addressed by the person.
One of the most common withdrawal symptoms is dizziness and headaches. There are painkillers for headaches coupled with proper breathing and relaxation techniques which can help get rid of dizziness and headaches.
A dry mouth and coughing is also another withdrawal symptom which cannot be ignored. This can be reduced by increasing intake of fluid including water, juices, and milk. Brushing your teeth regularly and deep breathing will also help reduce drying of the mouth. If possible, avoid taking antibiotics for your cough.
Anxiety, nervousness and depression are also common symptoms of smoking withdrawal. A good breathing exercise and relaxation technique should be developed to counteract these symptoms. Meditation and Yoga can also go a long way in managing symptoms of smoking withdrawal.
