After You Quit
Quit Smoking Journal
Keeping a journal as you go through the many stages of quitting smoking, will help you, literally, live and learn. Write in it every single day. If you feel yourself starting to get the itch to smoke, try picking up the journal before picking up the cigarette. If you have to, read through your journal and be amazed at how far you have come. Really think to yourself and if the cravings really get strong, start writing.
Write down your every thought and also write down reasons why you should not pick up the cigarette. Give yourself all the positives in the world, that you can think of. You will be amazed at how something as simple as writing can completely overturn the craving for a cigarette. So go ahead and give a little bit of writing a try.

Today is my 3rd day and I am
Today is my 3rd day and I am craving for a cigarrette. I have been reading different articles about its benefits and timeline for progress. But is hard, specially today that I will go out to a reunion and I know some of my smoking friends will be there.
It is hard!
How is your 17th day going? I
How is your 17th day going? I hope the craving went away. I wish you the best.
I know exactly how you are
I know exactly how you are feeling. I am on day 4 and 3rd attempt. My first quit was the easiest and the longest. I caved in when I went to a bar...BIG TRIGGER! Hang in there, don't give up even if it takes 100 times. One of those times will be the right quit for you. So many people are in this same journey with this addicted obsession.

June 17, 2009
On this day I went to my doctor for my Annual Health Assessment and My Health is in Great condition. One thing bothers me about my Health after I left the doctor’s office. I have a problem, I SMOKE. In the past few years, I have tried countless times to quit smoking, but it never worked. I always ended up dating someone that smokes and my habit is renewed again. I had even made a promise to myself never to date a woman that smokes, but that didn’t work because women lie. They always come-out after a few weeks of dating.
On this day, I only had three cigarettes in the box. I smoked one when I got to work, I smoked one on my way to the doctor (about 1:30 PM) and smoked the other around 6:00PM on my way home from work. (I always feel good after a visit from my doctor. Trust me; most of my attempts to quit smoking were influenced after a visit from the doctor). As I was smoking that last cigarette, I was thinking about quitting smoking. I didn’t want to use the patch because I get weird dreams. My doctor prescribed Zyband back in May, but I have only taken a few of those pills. This time I really wanted to quit smoking.
What is motivating me to quit smoking more than anything is the fact that I am going to be a daddy in September. My first child, I have to live long enough to see her grow and become a woman. I want to be able to do things with my child and share knowledge that I have about our world.
I have not touched a cigarette and I plan not to touch one for the rest of my life. The cravings are gone (this is a Miracle). Please pray for me to continue on this path.
