What Parents Can Do To Help – Part 1

I know that most of us only think of smoking as something that affects people in their early twenties as well as later on in life, but the fact of the matter is that smoking is actually a higher percentage with teenagers. Some parents may feel stressed out about this factor and like they have no control over it, but there are things you can do about it. The number one thing to think about when trying to help your teen quit smoking, is that you are a role model and if you are a smoker yourself, you need to think about quitting as well. Showing your teen that you are serious about quitting is a great way to show them that smoking is not something they need in their life and that they will better off without it. Let them know that you are going to quit smoking and let them know that you will help them quit as well.
