Plan A “Happy Day”

That is the best thing you could do for yourself; just plan a day to celebrate your choice to quit smoking for good. It will be good for you to have time to relax and distract yourself. It is also a great way to get rid of those cravings. You could try having a great day at the beach. Go swim in the ocean, pick up shells, or just lay back and relax on the sand. If the beach is not for you, you should try a walk in the park or anywhere other than where you live. Getting out of your element helps put your body at ease from wanting a cigarette because your mind does not associate the new places with smoking. If you stayed at home all the time, then your body and mind would probably think smoking all the time because you are in a familiar place that is associated with when you were smoking.
