After You Quit
A Deadly Cocktail
Smoking-related diseases are one of the top killers of the world today. It is like a “thief in the night” stealing our family and friends.A stick of a seemingly harmless cigarette is a cocktail of carcinogens such as benzene and formaldehyde, poisons such as carbon monoxide and cyanide, and toxic metals such as arsenic and cadmium. “It is a brutal wolf in sheep’s clothing”. Smoking has ensnared the lives of millions worldwide----dominating the lives of our family and friends. When smoking, one tricks his brain into believing that he is smoking to relieve stress and relax. But unknowingly this lethal cocktail in the smoke that we (smokers and the people around him) inhale bombards our bodies with harmful substances that will later on creep slowly but viciously into our systems----creating havoc in the circulatory system with high blood pressure and cardiac arrhythmias, lung and oral cancers, emphysema and other health problems that will destroy our lives and prevent us from enjoying life’s simple joys.
